Q.

Is allergy and asthma same? My daughter has cough and night time continuously for minimum 2 hours.. Doctors said that she has allergy. I'm afraid she might have asthma. Please reply me. The symptoms she have cold and cough, coughing at night time mainly she has coughing..

A. Cough in a child could be allergic , infective or due to some other cause like GERD so it needs proper valuation before giving aiuny medication . Primarily you can give steam inhalation to the chgild for the improvement before consulting your doctor.
