A. Small bumps on your son’s tongue (Tungle, as you wrote) can happen due to several common reasons, and in most cases, they go away on their own within a few days. Here are possible causes: 🔹 Common Reasons for Tongue Bumps: Irritation from food – spicy, hot, or rough-textured foods can cause tiny bumps. Mild infection or viral illness – like hand, foot, and mouth disease or viral stomatitis. Enlarged taste buds (transient lingual papillitis) – harmless and usually resolve on their own. Biting the tongue or injury from teeth or toys. Allergic reaction – to food or toothpaste. 🩺 When to See a Doctor: If the bumps are painful, growing, not going away after a week, or are accompanied by fever, drooling, or difficulty eating, it’s best to consult your pediatrician. In most cases, keeping the mouth clean and avoiding spicy/hot foods helps healing. You can offer cool, soft foods and plenty of fluids.
