Q.

Im in my 34th week of pregnancy..When GTT was done for me,second reading was higher(193).Doctor told me I am having gestational diabetes.I controlled my diet to reduce sugar and tested it again it was normal( 78 fasting and 102 after breakfast).In my 34th week the scan report says that the amniotic fluid level is high( 20 cm).Is there any problem for me or baby..?

A. Having too little or too much amniotic fluid can cause pregnancy complications. In general, the more severe the polyhydramnios, the higher the risk of complications during pregnancy or delivery. Some of the risks with more advanced polyhydramnios include: increased risk of a breech baby (with more fluid, the baby can have trouble getting head down)
