Spit-up becomes a problem if your baby isn't gaining weight.
Hold your baby in a fairly upright position when you feed him
Burp your baby after each feeding and try to keep him in an upright position for some time after feeding

Gently burp your baby when he or she takes breaks during feedings. Limit active play after meals and hold your baby in an upright position for at least 20 minutes. Always closely supervise your baby during this time.
