Q.

i m going to start solid and semi solid food to my baby what amount sugar and salt I can give to my baby and what are side effects of extra use of it like adult

A. as soon as complementary feeding is started usually sugar and salt is not given to the child and for sweet you can give jaggery and gradually salt is started and added to the food only after one year of age In COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING start with two rules Rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow Rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child. you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. You have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount

A. Hi parent completion of six months is right time for introducing food and water to your child you can give warm dal water moong water or rice starch with small quantity of spices and ghee you can give properly cooked rice and khichdi
