A. Hair loss after having a baby is a common occurrence that happens to many women due to hormonal changes. However, getting a haircut or coloring your hair should not affect breastfeeding as long as certain precautions are taken. The chemicals used in hair color or highlights usually do not penetrate the scalp, meaning they are unlikely to make their way into your breast milk. However, it's always a good idea to use products specifically labeled as "pregnancy-safe" or "breastfeeding safe" to minimize the risk of exposure to potentially harmful chemicals. Consult with your hair stylist or a healthcare provider for recommendations on safe hair products. Additionally, it's perfectly safe to get a haircut. The hair strands are dead, so cutting them does not affect the body in any way. It's important to remember that hair loss after having a baby is usually temporary and will naturally subside over time. In the meantime, maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle to promote good hair health. Speak with a dermatologist if you have any concerns about hair loss. In summary, getting a haircut or coloring your hair should not affect breastfeeding as long as certain precautions are taken, such as using pregnancy-safe or breastfeeding-safe hair products.

A. Consume foods rich in iron, zinc, and vitamins. A homemade hair pack made of egg whites and olive oil applied directly on the scalp is a good remedy to minimise hair fall post-delivery. Soak fenugreek seeds overnight and apply the strained water directly on the scalp. Leave it for an hour or two and wash. Include yoghurt in your diet and use it as a hair mask as well – mix it with some coconut oil and apply. Massage your hair gently with lukewarm oil before your hair washes to improve circulation and increase hair growth.
