Q.

I'm a mother of 1yr 8 months girl. My last periods was Apr 30th. I was breastfeeding my baby till 2 weeks back. I have stopped feeding for last 2 weeks. My periods cycle is 27 days. Till today I didn't get my periods. Is there any reason for delay in periods due to stop breastfeeding my kid.

A. If you are breastfeeding your baby, your periods may not return for several months after childbirth. This is because the hormone that causes you to make milk, prolactin, also stops you from ovulating and having your period. If you are breastfeeding day and night, it can be up to a year or two before your period returns.
