i m a mom of two children one baby was 4 yrs and another baby was 5 month old both had a cough and cold, cold was little better but cough was severe , can anyone suggest me a syrup, i have already many times went to an hospital no syrups has reacted as much ,can anyone suggest me a best syrup for my babies

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the dokctor according to the type of cough.
if ffever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
