A. Prolonged bleeding after taking the Antara injection (a contraceptive injection) can occur as a side effect. Here are some steps you can consider: 1. **Monitor the Bleeding**: Keep track of the amount and duration of bleeding. This information can be helpful for your healthcare provider. 2. **Stay Hydrated**: Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, especially if the bleeding is heavy. 3. **Consult Your Healthcare Provider**: Contact your doctor or gynecologist. They can determine whether this is a normal side effect or if further investigation or treatment is necessary. 4. **Medications**: In some cases, your doctor might prescribe medications to help manage the bleeding. 5. **Iron Supplements**: If the bleeding is heavy, consider taking iron supplements to prevent anemia. Discuss this with your doctor first. Prolonged bleeding can be a common side effect, but it’s always best to consult your healthcare provider to ensure everything is normal and to get personalized advice.
