Q.
I have eight months baby and I am feeling like unwell and cold but it is mild, can I take any medicine, or it is still restricted to take any medicine while feeding the baby

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper ehfvaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be givfen to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
