Q.

I have 6 month old baby boy. I cook rice and dal together in cooker and then grind it in mixer to make cerelac like consistency. Is this right way to make ? Because baby doesn’t eat more then 6 spoons in a day

A. it can be given initially.. but good to avoid for long as babies get develop habit of having grinded food. or else you can make cerelac powder at home.

A. It’s perfectly ok. At the start give soupy consistency of food. Later can reduce the fineness of food. So that baby can try to chew otherwise baby gets habitual of swallowing instead of chewing. You can even roast dal and rice after washing and then grind to fine paste and then cook to soupy form. After roasting it gives nice flavour and fragrance. Then your baby may eat more than now.
