Q.

I have 4 months old baby, baby having dandruff like symptom in his scalp, it looks white when it's wet and looks yellow when it's dry, visited nearby doctor they told it is seborrheic dermatitis mild symptoms and prescribed Min-oil lotion to apply for scalp twice in a week.. May I know how many days it takes to get cured. why seborrheic dermatitis comes for infants?

A. hi dear Dry scalps in babies are normal and often treatable at home. In most cases, the underlying cause is cradle cap. Dandruff, eczema, and allergies are other possible causes. If your baby's scalp doesn't improve after a couple weeks of treatment or if symptoms get worse, see your baby's pediatrician.
