Q.

I given dolo 250 syrep to my baba it's not settle down temperature so what can I do ,

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenasmic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can bes beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. hi dear mom. another dose can be given after 5 to 6 hours. as if now you can place wet towel on his forehead...use room temperature water for same..always give prescribed medication to baby as the dosage depends on weight of baby. use Babyhug medicine dropper to give medicine to baby

Q. #AskTheExpert Good morning sir. Now a days fever takes 3-5 days to settle down. in the meantime the temperature is not decreasing gradually. Sometimes temperature is less than 99. but in the evening or midnight temperature goes up. so in this case should I continue p-250 for ever 6-8 hours or only when temperature goes above. Since some doctors say to give p-250 when temperature is goes up. Some say continue throughout the period till it settled down. Which is correct and good for child's health.
