A. It sounds like you're experiencing severe loss of appetite, persistent bitter taste, and breathlessness in your 31st week of twin pregnancy. These symptoms could be due to: Hormonal Changes & Acid Reflux – Common in late pregnancy and can cause a bitter taste, nausea, and difficulty eating. Increased Uterus Pressure – Your growing uterus presses against your diaphragm, causing breathlessness and suffocation. Iron or Prenatal Vitamins – Some supplements can cause a metallic or bitter taste. Gestational Issues – Conditions like gestational cholestasis can also lead to bitterness and nausea. What You Can Do: ✅ Eat Small, Frequent Meals – Even if you don’t feel hungry, try small bites every 2-3 hours (dry toast, plain roti, or khichdi). ✅ Stay Hydrated – Sip coconut water, buttermilk, or lemon water to neutralize the taste. ✅ Try Sucking on Candies – Ginger, mint, or citrus lozenges may help refresh your mouth. ✅ Avoid Heavy, Spicy, or Oily Food – Stick to bland, easy-to-digest foods like idli, rice, dal, and soups. ✅ Check Your Iron Supplements – If they worsen your taste, ask your doctor for an alternative. ✅ Elevate Your Head While Sleeping – This reduces reflux and suffocation. ✅ Slow Deep Breathing – Helps manage breathlessness. Since you’re having suffocation issues, it’s important to consult your doctor immediately to rule out any serious concerns like anemia, preeclampsia, or gestational cholestasis.
