Q.

I am two and a half months pregnant and my first child is about a year old and I'm still breastfeeding. I wanted to ask you that what will happen if I continue breastfeeding my first child till I complete 4 months of pregnancy because I want to breastfeed my first child for one year and two months? I also wanted to ask you that if I stop breastfeeding my first child now will she be at good health and immunity if I'll take care of her solid food intake? and Lastly will my breastfeeding affect my unborn baby because now a days I'm feeling dizzy and exhausted most of the time but I'm on medication. my gynecologist asked me stop breastfeeding gradually to my first child. please give me your good suggestion Doctor. I'm careful about my both the babies. the pregnancy of unplanned and because of my age I've not aborted.

A. Hello dear parent! Ideally babies should be breastfed for the first one year only. Beyond that nutrition should come from healthy homemade foods and during that period outside milk can be introduced. Regarding the weaknesses you are having please ensure that you take good diet for a healthy pregnancy and gradually start weaning off your first baby
