Q.
I am pregnant with my 2nd child. it's been 8weeks so far. my concern is I recently had Covid for which I took 8 Nos. of doxy-SL tablet without knowing that I'm pregnant. the week I should have got periods was Jan 25th but at that time only I had Covid. after all was OK I tested positive for pregnancy. now my concern is can my baby be affected with the intake of doxy-SL tablets. Pls help.

ExpertDr Sheetal AggarwalObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. hi mom though doxy I contraindication in pregnancy .. but it is not an absolute indication for termination of pregnancy u can still consult with fetal medicine expert for the advice

Author of questionMom of 3 children3 years agoA. thank you mam. my gynea has said sometimes it doesn't affect but if it affects I will know only in late pregnancy or after birth. I am not sure what to do or expect. can u plz suggest. if it affects the growing fetus what will b the pros and cons.
