Q.

I am not able to feed her properly ,breastmilk is low how to increase breast milk.please help out with it. my mother in law says to give cow milk and don't give formula milk ,FM will not give any nutrition to baby.

A. How did you assess your supply to be low? Breastfeeding works on-demand supply principle - The more the baby feeds, the more your body makes. Babies also clusterfeeed around growth spurts which is quite normal expected. It does not mean the mother’s supply is low.

A. Have fluids before and after breast feeding. Consume dates, nuts, jeera, Dill seeds, sauf, ajwain, papaya, spoon of desi ghee and butter plus a katori of assorted nuts , makhana everyday. Drink milk with a good protein supplement
