Q.

I am 37 weeks pregnant. My recent ultrasound shows excess liquor with AFI 21 cm. Is it worrisome? What can I do to reduce it?

A. Nothing that you can do Do you have diabetes in pregnancy Is it Uncontrolled The pediatrician will check for tracheoesophageal fistula after birth Usually it can cause difficulties in head engagement But not always Wait and watch Follow your doctor advice on this who knows your case best Go to my website Www.familygynaec.com

A. Thanks for responding. Yes, I am diagnosed with gestational diabetes and taking a dose of 1500 mg Metformin a day. Sugar values are under control, can this high dose of medicine be also a reason? Also, yes, due to excess liquor, the baby has not descended yet.
