Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. potty training in children is a significant developmental milestone that typically occurs between the ages of 2 and 3. it involves teaching a child to use the toilet independently for urination and bowel movements instead of relying on diapers. parents or caregivers can start by introducing the concept of using the toilet, promoting regular bathroom visits, offering positive reinforcement for successful attempts, and being patient and understanding through accidents. consistency, praise, and encouragement are key in potty training success. it is important to remember that every child is different, and the process may tdake time and persistence. parents should also watch for signs of readiness, such as staying dry for longer periods or showing interest in the toilet.
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Potty training and toilet training should be initiated as soon as the child completes one and half years of age. avoid before that except if you feel that the child is giving cues when he or she wants to pass stool. also good demonstration has to be given again and again to the child to reinforce the habit. make the child sit on potty seat daily so that the child gets accustomed and not fearful of the seat and situationx kindly go through various articles on pottyx training on firstcry. please be patient as after starting training it may take 6 months also for the child to learn.
Thanks and take care
