Yes you can very much give sweet potatoes to the baby , you can steam it afetr washing it well, with skin, once steamed , peel the skin and add ghee, salt and pepper

You can boil and mash it then you can add salt and pinch of black pepper into that and that is what you can give you can also eat butter if you want anything that you feel is more comfortable to be given to the child you can give it that way to your child
