Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothingfyu to worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for ffever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Keep an ice cube regularly onto the area where the vaccination has been given also also you can give paracetamol to the child to reduce down the pain even if there is no fever you can repeat it after every six hours as per your requirement
