Q.
How do I know that my child has loose motions ??? What should be a normal poop consistency be like for a 15 month old .???? What can be the remedies ???

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .
supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can hgbe given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .

If the motions are little loose then no need to worry. But if the motions are excessively watery then u can give econorm sachet for loose stool to ur baby. This will help to give relief. Take care
