how can we know that utreus cannot hold the baby in the womb? is through scanning?

During the scan they will also check for the cervical length and usually if it is short and or if the baby seems to be slipping through it then we will find out. See Actually all these things can be revealed by a proper scan only an ultrasound would be able to give you a clarity on this and with the report whatever is there your doctor can make you understand everything in better clarity so it’s better if you have any doubt about it you go ahead with an ultrasound
