Q.

Hlo.my daughter is 5 yr old. she is on antibiotics, can she take DPT vaccine ?

A. yes can give simple fever , cough and cold as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is not a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest. the maximum you can delay would be around 2-3 weeks but after that it is advisable not to delay the vaccination if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination

A. Antibiotics for what that is also one situation that you have to see mostly the doctors don’t advise you to take vaccination during the time of fever only otherwise you can take it there is no problem till the time you do not have a precise reason for giving antibiotics the doctor do not deny vaccination
