Q.

Hlo .. my daughter is 19 months old.. 15 days after her birth she is having constipation.. sometimes she is completely fine but some days she poops after 2-3 days and today she cried for two hours to poop but she was not able to poop.. she cried continuously for 2 hours today and at last I had to apply dulcoflex (kida) ... plz tell what to do to get rid of constipation.

A. Constipation is a problem where there is difficulty in passing the stools and it could be very hard leading to sometimes injury and it becomes a chronic condition in most of the cases if not treated properly . most important thing is a proper diet with good fibre and plenty of liquids . Also avoidance of food which can aggravate the condition like Banana excess of milk and food with maida and junk .c medications should be given like lactulose or polyethylene glycol but only in guidance with the doctor.cd In emergency situation glycerine suppository or enema is useful.
