avoid doing on chest.. head.
once consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised by your doctor

as a child is having cold too , better to avoid it
instead of it ,I would suggest to gently rub onion slices on chest and back of your child.
or you may use Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child.
dress your child lightly
keep your child well hydrated
