Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. for low breast milk supply you need to take plenty of liquids and high fibre diet and give frequent feeding to your child so that milk production increases as it is a hormonal phenomenon regulated by signals to the brain so you should feel positively motivated and do not try to give formula milk unless advised by your paediatrician and if the weight gain and urinary output of your baby is normal .if required you can also take help from a lactation consultant who will guide you in a very proper way regarding establishment of good lactation as well as will help you in relieving pain if you have any. medicines are not of much help in this but definitely your diet i;rfs very important.
Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 1 m old girl3 years agoA. hi
please do the following things:
1. nurse and demand.
your milk supply is based on demand and supply mechanism.
so the more your baby nurses ,the more milk is produced.
2.try to incorporate foods that increase milk supply in your diet.
for example fennel seeds, jeera water, drumsticks soup etc
3.drink plenty of water
4.avoid taking stress as it reduces milk supply.
5.you can take leptadin tablet or shatavary granular with warm milk too
