hlo dr my baby girl is 14 months old ,1 week back I stop brest feeding completely,introduce package milk she suffering from constipation, since 3 days she pass very little stools,and small it's very hard, when passing stool she somuch of stress.plz suggest medicine

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation is a problem where there is difficulty in passing the stools and it could be very hard leading to sometimes injury and it becomes a chronic condition in most of the cases if not treated properly .
most important thing is a proper diet with good fibre and plenty of liquids . Also avoidance of food which can aggravate the condition like Banana excess of milk and food with maida and junk cf.
medications should be given like lactulose or polyethylene glycol but only in guidance with the doctor.
In emergency situation glycerine suppository or enema is useful.
