Hii, My daughter is 1.5 years old. I am trying to wean her breastfeed but I am unable to do it. My family is like till now you have weaned the now it is very difficult and I ask for help from them they are not even ready for it. What to do I am not understanding

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 years agoA. hi dear mom good it was your correct decision to be breastfeeding your baby till now it is not that you have to wean early otherwise child will not stop breastfeeding it is recommended to continue breastfeeding till 2 years for the various nutritional and immunity benefits so you have still time with you do not worry child does not breastfeed for ever weaning should be done gradually give filling meals drop one breastfeed every week father or other family member can help with feeding and putting child to sleep build a bedtime routine that does not revolve around breastfeeding
