hi wanted to ask when baby given the polio vaccine with dto and other the first 3 vaccine cries a lot not even drink milk due to pain..dr gave colpal ingave still pain what to do any suggestions

A. when fever comes after vaccination you can give Paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. Paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. Vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever continue the medicines given by the doctor3

A. You To the area where the vaccination has been swelling and pain and irritation in that area apart from that you can Give Calpol to the child and repeat after six hours that’s the only thing that you can be doing as of now there is no other thing that is going to hit a child
