hi, today my son is making noise while breathing so I've given sinarest drop is it safe to give 4month baby? that too 0.3ml is safe pls clarify my doubt

A. please avoid this medicine add this age because the advantage is less compared to the side effects the child is getting due to the medicine. they are respiratory secretions which is present in the narrow respiratory tract of the child. the sound of ghar... ghar.. is present when air passes over these secretions in the narrow respiratory tract. if the respiratory rate of the child is within normal limits and the child is not having any other complaints do not worry about the sound which is present due to respiratory secretions. if you feel that the child is having some difficulty in breathing you can always give nasal saline drops in the nasal cavity which will wash away the mucus present in the nasal cavity as well as the respiratory tract. the problem improve with increasing age of the child when there is broadening of the respiratory tract .
