Q.

Hi This question is from a pediatrician and gynaecologist, my daughter is 8yrs and 3months and she is having pubic hair. It is the indication that her menstrual cycle can start soon, as I haven't taught her about the same yet. Also, can I use hair removal creams or lady shavers to remove her pubic hair, arm pits specially?? TIA

A. Hello ma’am It is not necessary that if there are hair it’s time for your body you know some times it can happen early but it is definitely not a sign of puberty. Also I would like to tell you that you cannot use any kind of removal cream or results as of now because the skin is too sensitive and if you start using it anywhere even the pubic area are under arms the hair growth is going to be very very hard after that so just do not use it.. For such small kids it’s neither safe nor healthy
