Q.

Hi, these are my baby’s feet picture, yesterday I got to see it clearly, I thought it got swollen due to tight elastic socks, visited our nearby by paediatrician, where he was also confused and said the swelling should subside within 12hrs, it’s been 20hrs now the swelling seems same to me, I want to know is this edema?,fat? Or swollen, I did pressed my finger in the swollen area, it’s not swelling nor it is bouncing back, do I show to our near by physician to get a clear idea please help, and is it something related to heart?

A. thai is normal at this age. this is normal phenomenon and no treatment is required. but if you feel that something is different you can get it examined by the doctor. many times examination may be needed to give final diagnosis.

A. Luka I’m quite sure it is not because of the elastic of the socks because the elastic is upper than this area it is not into the area right and they do not have such tight elastic that the child can have swelling because of that I think there is some another problem so I’m going to advise you to consult a specialist into this area and that is when you can come to know what’s the problem because I am very sure it’s not because of socks
