Q.

hi sir my 1 year baby suffering cold and cough sinse 1 month. consult with dr and baby take antibiotic and nebulization .he is better more than before but nw also i suffering running nose and coughing at night plz g

A. it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold . here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever . it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely. dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving thec next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer. allergy can be environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , cfood , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also. body cannot sustain such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.

A. Hello dear parent! If the problem is persistent even after medication then it needs further treatment. Keep your doctor informed about any changes or concerns. Keep Babyhug medicine dropper handy. Good luck and take care
