Q.

hi Sir / Madam, 6th week vaccines (IPV, Rotavirus, Hepatitis B, DTP & Hib) due should be able done after 45 days only or 42nd day we can go ahead ?

A. there should not be a problem if you postpone it for maximum one month but after that it is not advisable because the chiild become susceptible to the vaccine preventable disease. try to get a vaccination as early as possible for first one year to 2 year of age

Q. at 6 weeks my baby has been given polio, DTP, hib and hepatitis vaccines however rotavirus and pneumonia vaccines are not given to him as doctor said it is not compulsory. please advise rotavirus and pneumonia vaccines should be given or not. if yes, what can be done in future as first dose of these vaccines at 6 weeks is missed.
