Hi Shweta My baby is 17 and walking confidently, recognises family members, has good vocabulary, can produce animal sound but he doesn't respond to his name what do I do

Author of questionMom of a 2 yr 11 m old boy1 Year agoA. hi ma'am i am a stay at home mom...I have taught him all these things...yes he gets screen time but only for short duration... not responding to name is my biggest concern

Ma’am you have to see 1st to understand whether your child actually knows that the child has this one particular name because what happens is in family as parents you call them with different names nicknames or different names sometimes they are the other time so they do not maybe know you know that that is their name so first you need to check for that and the child has been certain about it then you can check with your doctor why your child is not responding to its name second I don’t know how your child has learnt all these things but if you’re giving any kind of a screen time please avoid giving it it is not good for mental and verbal growth of the child
