A. Biting is quite common in kids this age. Biting can be a way for him to get attention or express how he is feeling. So if he can't find the words he needs quickly enough or can't say how he is feeling - he may bite as a way of saying - "Pay attention to me" or "I don't like that". As language improves, biting tends to lessen. Try to distract his attention to a more positive activity like dancing or music or colouring or playing a game. You should remain calm and be firm - no biting or biting hurts. Make it clear that biting is wrong. Comfort the victim. When things have calmed down, suggest alternatives to biting like using the words like "no" "stop" "that's mine" when wanting to communicate with others.
