Hi my son is 16 days old right now he is suffering from cold i think cough also before few days he had a jaundice 21 then doctrs suggested that admit him in NICU right now he is fine but he had a cold cough nose blockage

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. for nasal blockage as well as cough and cold you can give nasal saline drops of any brand and it can be given again and again that is can be repeated every three hourly.
it is salt water so does not have any side effects. can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this azge have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
continue regular diet of the child to keep the child well hydrated and try to prevent temperature variations around zthe child
