Q.

Hi..my little one vaccinated for dtap second dose on sep 26th but even today the swelling at injection site has not reduced though not painful. For first dose swelling was less and this time they didn't give properly it seems. should I give warm compress or cold compress for swelling?

A. after painful vaccines administration they can cause swelling in the limbes which can continue for more than two months also. it does not requdire any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination immediately you should start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting
