Q.

Hi. .my kid is 3 yrs old . .we are in Europe. .he is going to playschool . .after joining in school he is often getting cold we consulted doctor here and they gave nose drops . .once he is recovered from that again and again he s getting cold. .on Nov 14 he got fever and followed by cold . .we consulted doctor they said his ear got infected and that's why he got fever and they prescribed antibiotics. . after giving antibiotics he was ok and he went to school and again after 3weeks again he got cold from last Friday and from yesterday he got fever and pus is draining out from his ear. .again doctor gave same antibiotics. .what will be the reason for this frequent ear infection? Is there any serious any concern about this problem??

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examinatiron. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could bne associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
