Q.

Hi, My daughter was born on Sept 10th 2023 and weighed 2.4Kg only. During her second vaccine on December 7 2023, she weighed 5.028Kg and Now (Jan 3 2024) her weight is 5.5Kg. Is this normal? From the first vaccine to the second vaccine (1 month) gap she gained 1 Kg. Now it's only half in the same duration. Also now she is drooling so much. Is there anything we r lagging. Please help.

A. the weight is adequate in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
