Q.
hi my daughter is 8 months old . She got cold some days back but now she is better( breathing from nose) but she is not able suck bottle. Sometimes I am just holding her jaw to make her latch . Earlier she was all fine and was mostly bottle fed .

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of addllergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
