HomeQuestions & AnswersHi, my daughter is 2yrs 9 months now. around 3 weeks back she said it hurts while peeing and we did a urine culture and consulted our local pediatrician. Based on the culture report (Simple UTI) we were asked to give an antibiotic for 7 days and repeat urine culture post 14days.
now after 14days, we did the urine culture and the report basically shows the same bacteria infection (UTI).
but my daughter has no symptoms, no fever or no hurting sensation while peeing. did the antibiotic work or not? why the report is showing the same thing even after medication?
our pediatrician is now suggesting us to get IV medication done for our daughter. should we go this route?

A. Hello ma’am If I have to even this antibiotic courses infection hasn’t subsided properly it would be better to go for a for the medication for the same because what happens is sometimes symptoms are not there but the infection is and before it increases much and troubles your child it would be better that you go for another medication whatever you Dr suggesting you to go for
