A. Hello mommy, Foods like potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, dal, ghee, ragi, almonds, yogurt, eggs and milk help the baby to gain weight. Please take a pediatricians' suggestion before you start any of these foods. As always follow a 3 day test rule. Whole milk or 2% milk. Cheese or yogurt made with whole milk or 2% milk. Fried eggs. Peanut butter. Cereal with whole milk. Orange juice. Trail mix with dried fruit, seeds, and nuts. According to the World Health Organization, average weight of an 18-month-old is 23.4 pounds for girls and 24.1 pounds for boys. Average height of an 18-month-old is 31.8 inches for girls and 32.4 inches for boys.
