Hi my daughter is 17 months old.i wanted to know whether baby girl's vagina should open or it should close..my daughter's vagaina is open.i checked with other baby girl's it is closed .some people told like it should close and at age of 10-12 it will open. since birth i am noticing her vagina is open. she was wearing diaper everytime.so i got scared that because of diaper it got opened or what.Can anyone help me if vagina will open for samll gorl is there any problem ?do we need to consult doctor.if we will consult doctor please suggest which doctor we should consult.is it pediatrician or gynaecologist?

Consult your child’s doctor for a personal evaluation and seek further advice. Clarify all your concerns regarding this and follow your doctor’s advice diligently.
