Q.

hi my daughter had fever on aug 11thbaround 101 to 103° for almost 4 days n did cbc urine n stool test everything normal and fever gradually got reduced.now again from aug 22nd fever has started >100 to 101.5 n it's continuing. what may be the reasons ?anyone knows ,any test to be done? is it normal to get fever often.

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are ustually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm whater is also helpful . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. hello give medicine for 2 days and see and if no improvement or is worsening then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and also safe too
