Q.

Hi My child is 1 and a half month old and he usually drinks formula and breast milk both at night but during the day time even though he wakes up after every 3 hour he doesn't drink anything even if I feed him hardly he sucks for 5-6 mins and then sleeps back what can be done please suggest

A. Breast feeding should be exclusively till 6 month of age. If not possible then only milk formula should be given. After that you can start with top feed along with cow milk .

A. On average, a newborn drinks about 1.5-3 ounces (45-90 milliliters) every 2-3 hours. This amount increases as your baby grows and is able to take more at each feeding. At about 2 months, your baby may be taking 4-5 ounces (120-150 milliliters) at each feeding and the feedings may be every 3-4 hours.
