Q.

Hi my baby is six months I could feed him exclusively breast feeding for only four months and then I had to supplement it with formula milk as my milk was not sufficient and now my milk is almost coming to stop and I have guilt that I just cannot feed my child is there any way that I can increase now or is relactation possible. Please help me to come out of this guilt

A. Relactation is a two-part process- getting the baby to suck and producing enough milk to satisfy the baby. Both are interdependent- the more the baby sucks, the more the production of milk is stimulated, and if more milk is generated, the greater the urge for the baby to feed.https://parenting.firstcry.com/articles/relactation-how-to-start-breastfeeding-again-after-stopping/

Q. Hello, my son is 12 weeks old. He was exclusively on breast feed till last few days. Since last few days he cries alot when i take him for feeding from breast. when i try alot he latches but takes feeding for few seconds and then stops. But he takes extracted breast milk with bottle. In night time, he take breast feeding. I have also started giving him top up (lactogen). he easily takes that. I am not able to understand why he is doing like this. please suggest. I want him to take breast feed atleast till six months. Please note my milk supply is good enough. He passes urine 8-10 times a day and his weight gain is also good.
