hi my baby is 5 months old and now red patches came out at back side of head and he is always itching it. when applying coconut oil then it is removing like white dead skin type substances.

Dr Rashmi SriramMom of a 8 yr 10 m old girl3 years agoA. hi red patches at this age can be cradle cap, or even fungal infection. It is important to rule out these conditions. Apply coconut oil before bath followed by gentle cleansing with cetaphil baby shampoo.

Hello Then it may be some kind of an allergy it is better that you get a check with your doctor ones a dermatologist would be able to give you a clear guidance on that because if it is the subsiding like that and coming over than that must be some kind of analogy hour
