Q.

Hi, My baby is 3 months old now. I'm on exclusive breast pumping. I'm getting 60 to 150 ML in one pump and he is taking that. Is that enough for him? And I'm feeding him every 4 hours also. Is that enough? Because if I'm trying for on demand it is taking time to pump and feed and during the time he will be crying like anything. Should I start solids or formula for him?If I want to continue BM how can I increase it as I'm in pumping it is getting reduced.

A. Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors. A proper is counselling is required which can be done by a lactationhoal counsellor along with a proper diet with plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavari . Also try to avoid giving top milk in initial stagfe specially with bottle feeding which may be the culprit for lactational failure most of the time .
